Lever Operated Hand Brake!

What a fantastic idea! Something we have been looking out for, for ages! We spotted it at the Brisbane Camping and Caravan Show on the Rolls Royce of Off Road Caravans - the Bushtracker. We have nearly lost our A'van several times trying to get just that little bit closer to a scenic spot! You all know the drill! The worst one was at South West Rocks where the van almost ended up on the beach, as grass had concealed a bit of a slope. You just can't get the normal caravan brakes on whilst the van is rolling and you are panicking! We have approached Bushtracker for one as they are in Brisbane the same as us so watch for a "successful" picture on these pages of a Bushtracker hand brake fitted to an A'van. Don't know if we want one of our locking handbrakes on an A' van. Someone might recognize it as a Bustracker part!!

Just kidding, they are $125, and are now improved with a bracket that goes down both sides of the ratchet assembly. Like everything we are constantly improving. When you get tired of the A'van level of comfort-facilities-4x4 capability- and independence equipment, come have a look at why we have had to double production and start a Night Shift and are still booked to May of 2002. There is a reason we have moved to #1 on the frontier of the Outback!!
