Those who follow the A-Cook section will know that we use lots of home grown herbs and vegetables wherever possible. It's all good and well to have these wonderful dreams of growing things completely chemical free BUT in the real world every bug on earth converges on your house once you start growing all these delicacies for these pesty visitors! We hate chemicals but you have to use something as all this companion planting doesn't always seem to work for us. Natural Pyrethrum and Garlic spray doesn't leave any residual and can be used 24 hours before harvesting. Try using this Forum if you need advice. You don't have to register - just sign in as guest if you want to post a message. At the moment we are trying to find a recipe for making Rosella tea. We have successfully grown our Rosellas from wee seeds, BUT we don't know which bits to use in the tea so have asked for help!
