Doing the Coast - Guide Review

This is definitely not a pocket book at 682 pages. But then again in does cover the complete east coast of Australia. An up to the minute modern publication with email addresses and web sites where available. Great stuff! Used in conjunction with the Internet you honestly couldn't get a better publication as it saves you all those hours messing about with search engines. Actually it is crying out to be released in CD format. The maps are quite good, but only one colour photograph. It therefore doesn't quite cut it as a stand alone publication due to the lack of photographs to fire one up. Nevertheless there is nothing else like it in one volume, and as most guide books are around the $30.00 mark having three for the price of one is not bad value. Good info on caravan parks including attitude to pets. The guide only covers the major centres and Tassie gets a total miss. Our copy was printed in December 2000 by Little Hills Press. Their internet links don't work at present. Available at any large book store. Recommended if you have the Internet.
