Battery Life Extender

If you are trying to add battery power to your camper at low cost, this option may be worthwhile looking into. Normal cheap car batteries don't last very long if they are continually charged and fully discharged. A relatively new device on the market called a MegaPulse continuously "conditions" your battery and the makers claim a life expectancy of up to five times. Cost is around $99.00 and you can pick one up from most auto electrician outlets. Has anyone tried one with their deep cycle battery? You can get more info from the Optional Power site at www.optionalpower.com.au.  Below is some of the blurb put out by MegaPulse the manufacturers.

What is MegaPulse Technology?
MegaPulse technology is defined by a distinct "pulse form" that has a controlled rise time, pulse width, frequency and amplitude of current and voltage.

How does MegaPulse Technology work?
MegaPulse technology is a patented process that suppresses sulfating build-up on battery plates, this is a common cause of lead-acid battery failure. Although there is enough reactive material in batteries to last for many years, often they don’t because of sulfating build-up. In the past little could be done, but with MegaPulse that is all changed.

What are the benefits of using MegaPulse Technology?
MegaPulse technology ensures peak battery performance and maximum life, that means: You save money on battery costs by maximizing battery life. You help the environment by not having to discard batteries prematurely

Will MegaPulse help other electrical components?
By maintaining batteries in peak condition alternators do not work as hard, batteries accept charge more readily so alternator life is extended. Healthy batteries start engines easier, so your starter should also last longer.

Will MegaPulse work on Gel-Cell batteries?
MegaPulse works on all lead-acid battery types including: Gel Cell, Antimony, Hybrid, Calcium Plate and Absorbed Glass Mat.

Will sulfating build-up occur on a new battery?
The rate of sulfating build-up on a battery will vary depending on battery usage and condition. It will occur faster on batteries that are used infrequently but will still affect frequently used vehicles. New batteries may already be sulphated when they are installed on your vehicle, sulfating can occur in new batteries in stock as well as used ones. Sulfating build-up begins to occur the moment battery acid is added to a battery, so new batteries on a store shelf can suffer from this build-up.

Not convinced! We have met Ian and he is a very genuine guy. Have a look at these testimonials - all with contact addresses for verification.
