Beaudesert Restored Auto Club - Sunliner Caravan

You are really showing your age when you confess that yes you have caravanned in the original fibreglass caravan, the Sunliner. We came across this very active couple whilst doing a story on Flanagan's Reserve near Brisbane. Cec and Doreen Cattel are really an inspiration to us all - still on the road in their eighties. They bought the 1969 FC Holden for just $500.00 and then spent countless hours lovingly restoring it. Yes they do get some help from the Beaudesert and District Restored Auto Club - they are very proud members. The Sunliner van cost $500.00 and really is in fantastic condition for a unit that must be over fifty years old. It is the working proof to all skeptics of fibreglass that it doesn't crack and rot away. The car and caravan have been right Around Oz.

It is interesting to note how well balanced this rig is with absolutely zero load levelling devices used at all. Note how the crank handle is stored on the A frame.
