Sink Cover Bench

We are trying to get a close up of this, but in the meantime this is all we have. Quite a few clever A'vanners have found a practical use for the sink cover when not on the sink. It sits on brackets on the right of the sink and gives more bench space. Can someone please take some photos and pop them up to us as this is a rather brilliant solution that lots of us could use! Photo came via the tireless Brendon Smith - thank you!

UPDATE: Sink Cover Bench

I'll get Ted (retired accountant, but a "surprisingly" good handyman) to do some paperwork and photography.  Just briefly, the shelf doesn't hinge, it has an aluminium angle strip under one edge (closest to cabinet of course!), and uses the slotted hole principle over two fixed prominent screw-heads in the side of the sink cabinet.  In addition, there is a simple shelf bracket under the shelf as extra support, but not fixed to the cabinet. Ours can't be used as a sink cover (because of the angle bracket), but the shelf is easily removable and replaceable.   We have a power point on that side of the cabinet, so a folding shelf wasn't feasible.  I find it fantastic having extra bench space around at mealtimes if we are eating/washing up in the van.
