Access to the wheel arch locker on the right just inside the door of the CL layout Sportliner involves removing the seat cushion and plywood cover. These have to be put somewhere while you ferret around for whatever is needed from the locker. As Sportliner owners will be aware, space is at a premium! By hinging the plywood cover as shown in the photographs (table has been lowered for clarity), the seat cushion folds up against the seat back and stays there while you retrieve whatever is needed. To close, flip the cover down and slide the cushion back under the seat back cushion. For optimum strength (we sit & sleep on this!), use a full length piano hinge. The hinged portion was not made the full width of the plywood cover, as when there is bedding tucked in around the long rear cushion, this can overlap part of the plywood cover.
