This idea is not a Queensland original. In fact it was the most popular "accessory" seen at last year's Pambula National Rally. There are all sorts of versions around. You can use zinc or galvanized plated steel or stainless steel if money is no object. 16 gauge seems to be ideal. Some models "fold" but just being a right angle with no hinge works quite well but is slightly harder to store. The chain is the key to this shelf being so strong. The load shown in the photo is quite heavy. This is all made possible by attaching a sail track off cut to the wall. You can readily pick this up at any caravan accessory shop such as Carac, Caravan Accessories or Camec.
