Cruiseliner Gas Struts

The Cruiseliner comes complete with an excellent fibreglass boot. No way of keeping this open is provided as standard - rather odd as every other lift up lid in the A'liner range has really excellent gas struts as standard. As the lips/edges of the boot are made for lightness you must place aluminium angle at both support points. The set up above has been used for over six months and is working just fine. The van has even traversed the notorious Telegraph Road from Daintree to Cooktown. The struts came from Universal Engineers Supplies, Unit2/90 Pritchard Road, Virginia, Qld, 4014 - (07) 3865 5600 and the contact is Marcus. Before contacting them you need to know the weight of the door as you don't just go and buy these off the shelf. You get hit with unfamiliar things like converting door weight into Newtons! Makes you wish you had paid more attention in Physics at school way back when! Queensland A'van club members Rhys & Liz Jones used to have a gas strut business and if you get stuck just email Rhys as what he doesn't know about this subject isn't worth knowing.
