Trailer Lock

Relying on a tiny padlock on the coupling for security is not too good. This gadget whilst not thief proof is a good deterrent. You just pop it in the coupling socket, insert the top bar and put in a strong BIG padlock. It is designed so the padlock cannot be cut off with bolt cutters. The top bar is sadly not case hardened so it could be defeated with a good hacksaw in about 30 minutes - it will slow them down though!

We also use a strong padlock instead of one shackle. This is great when travelling and unlike a shackle it can't come undone. The same padlock does both jobs.  Bob and Chrissy Eustace found it at last year's Caravan Show in Brisbane and Carac in Melbourne and Camec in Qld also sell them around $25.
