On a number of occasions when towing the A'van, we have arrived at our destination and found the van door step half out.  Also, the step can be heard rattling away whenever travelling over a rough surface. Both problems have been simply solved by pushing a couple of rubber window wedges between the step and the rod above it, as shown in the photograph.  When the step is in use, the wedges just hang behind the step on the cords.
