Sometimes when you are on a sloping site the jockey wheel will not have enough lift to allow you to hitch up again. Similarly you may not even be able to swing the jockey wheel down due to "sinking". The type of stand shown can be used to jack up the A frame. Also great if you break a stay on the road and good for extra stabilisation when storing your van. Of course an hydraulic jack will do the same job but is no good for long term use. Available from Carac and Camec and most caravan yards. Ours cost $25.20 from Carac in Melbourne.
