Front Bike Rack

As further evidence of his ingenuity, Murray  "Meccano" Nash from Wagga Wagga NSW arrived at Pambula with his and Lyn's bikes mounted upside down over the gas bottles.  Two brackets attached to the van A frame were fitted with bike "seat posts".  To fit the bikes to the van for travel, the bike seats (with posts) were removed, and the bikes secured to the A frame via the seat posts in the van brackets.  This was a relatively simple operation as the bikes had quick release seat posts. Note also Murray's "mirror on a post" (divorce eliminator Mark III ?) which simplifies aligning the tow ball with the van coupler.  Note also the hinged coupling handle and the curved van brake handle, both to provide sufficient clearance for opening the rear door of their 4WD when coupled to the van.

This would win the award for the most complicated A'van front end!
