Unique Bi-Fold Screen Door

Wow, sums up this project nicely! Without a doubt this is the best concept we have come across so far. All it needs is a manufacturer to make it in aluminium extrusions, as at present it is framed in plywood, so it will not withstand heavy use by grand children, pets etc. Nevertheless the unit shown to us above really worked well and its appearance "looked like a bought one"! The door lifts off the hinges and even folds in two for easy transportation. Attention to detail here was very good - we were impressed! Interestingly Trevor had NEVER seen this site or been to a club rally! All original "thoughts". Observant surfers will notice he has lots of entries in this months E-newsletter.

The photos above show how the lift off hinges work. The bottom halves are screwed onto the outer door frame and don't look too bad when the door is removed. The aluminium catch also serves as a stop. The potential here is enormous and the mock up just looks so good and is extremely functional. A'van is really lagging behind here by not developing a screen door, as it is the number one "want" going by all the emails we receive on this subject.

I love the Australian site. I have a very thick three ring binder full of ideas I've printed out from there (well from here too) but for some reason had never visited the A-Clinic part of their site. Thanks - now I'm going to have to buy another binder!

The screen door is WONDERFUL! I've been trying to think of something for the Sportliner, but there is just so little room that I couldn't come up with an idea that wouldn't take up floor space. This will do
nicely!
