A'vans Tyres CONTINUED from previous months

My Sportliner has Dunlop tyres and I am currently travelling right around Australia. The tyre shown below had only travelled from Perth to Darwin. It shredded to bits after travelling all day on the Stuart Highway at 120 kph at 40 PSI. My van is very lightly loaded as I am a firm believer in minimalistic camping. I would be interested to hear from others, particularly anyone who has fitted light truck tyres without altering the suspension height.
