Where has the A'liner Roof Stop Gone?

Early 2000 model A'liner has the stop

Late 2000 model A'liners do not have the stop

Siggy Nowak has pointed out to us that the rubber stopper fitted to his early 2000 3D A'liner is nowhere to be found on later models. Does anyone know why this is so? We think it was there to stop the handle rubbing on the window when folded so what happens now.
