Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

The fire extinguisher in the van and your car too, if you have one, as they are the dry powder type, due to the vibration of the car engine and road vibration, just driving along the powder shakes and sifts down (like the flour in the kitchen if you tap the bottom of the flour container) in that part of the extinguisher that's on the bottom. In the A'van on one side over time this hardens and solidifies, so in the event that you want to use the extinguisher only the pressurised air will come out. You must at least once a year more often if you remember take the extinguisher out and shake it up and turn it over several times to keep the powder in a ''fluffy'' state.
