Reading Light Replacement Globes

You may well wonder why such a simple thing as replacing a light globe is in this technical section? Quite simple really. Lots of A'vanners have reading lights and as they don't have large warnings on them just assume that all halogen lights are the same. If you accidentally fit a 20 watt globe the lamp plastic body will distort and the plastic lens will fall off. The wattage markings on used globes is just about impossible to read even with a jeweller's loupe. The globe above is the brand that is sold by Camec - around $3.00. This subject has been covered by Neil Louer in his excellent Light Globe Spares list. We strongly suggest you print this out, laminate it and store it in your A'van. We have done this!

WARNING: You must NEVER hold any halogen globe with your fingers as it absolutely ruins them.
