Better A'van Trailer Plug

Rather oddly in Victoria the large Utilux plug pictured are standard on just about all RV's. Move to NSW/Queensland and we all have the "toy" tiny, low amperage jobs - as low as 7 amps in fact. We suggest that it is a very wise move to upgrade to the larger unit. Utilux also have a very neat clamp for stopping the plug from resting on the ground when parked. The installation shown is indeed "text book" as the cables are protected with stranded PVC and finally sealed using heat shrink tape. You can buy this at Dick Smiths or any large electrical warehouse. The reinforced PVC you can get from Bunnings.  Just slide it on and apply a heat gun or hair dryer and you get a top waterproof seal. There is a fair amount of work to change over, but we feel it is very worthwhile.
