Can I mention a couple of things which maybe useful for other owners? We bought our van in October 1999. We weren't told by A'van that the battery was NOT the maintenance free one, but a Bosch wet cell type. As a consequence due to its continual charge had boiled dry. We didn't realise this until just before going away and having the van out to check over and load. We found we had NO 12 volt power! A'van told me there was a small batch of vans fitted with this battery, so if anyone out there purchased a van around this time CHECK THE ACID LEVEL IN THE BATTERY. This was mentioned in the A'van Club Newsletter, BUT we had NO REASON to suspect that it applied to us.
