Carac in Melbourne would have to be the top caravan accessory outlet in Melbourne. On a visit last Christmas we really got hooked on the place and visited it three days in a row. You see if you buy everything on one visit you get EXTREME guilt feelings as you have spent so much money! Now spread that into three more manageable chunks and zero guilt! Seriously we love the range of this shop, Nothing fancy at all in presentation and the building is almost corrugated iron BUT they stock everything and pricing is 10% cheaper than Brisbane. We particularly liked how you could compare things. Take fridges - they have various brands actually running side by side with a digital temperature gauge. They are also sited right at the front of the shop near a hot glass window so the fridges are having to work a bit harder. TV aerials and portable 12 volt VCRs/TVs are handled the same way. You can actually try different aerials on different combinations enabling you to make decisions that will work. This is not so in Brisbane - what you see is what you get. If you do any DIY work you will see we recommend Carac quite a lot on this site, as many of the components used were actually purchased there. Now the downside! They have NO INTERNET PRESENCE which makes it very hard for us out of towners to get fired up to buy more gear! How about it Carac - don't get left behind so to speak.
